تعددية التخصصات والبينية والدراسات عابرة التخصص:

ظهرت التخصصات العلمية كمحاولة للتعامل مع تعدد أشكال الظواهر الإنسانية، فعلم الاجتماع يختص بدراسة المجتمع، وعلم السياسة يركز على ظاهرة السلطة، وهكذا، ولكن مع تداخل وتشابك الظواهر الاجتماعية في العقود الماضية، فصار للسلوك الواحد والظاهرة الواحدة أبعاد سياسية واجتماعية ودينية وغير ذلك وانعكس ذلك على تراجع كفاءة تلك العلوم بمفردها، ودعت الحاجة إلى أن تتلاقى وتتكامل هذه العلوم المتخصصة فيما بينها، وهذا التلاقي والتكامل له أشكال متعددة

فظهر مفهوم تعددية التخصصات Multidisciplinary ومعناه أن تتشارك عدة تخصصات من أجل دراسة موضوع واحد، مع إبقاء كل تخصص متمايز ومستقل عن الآخر، ثم يعبر كل تخصص عن رأيه في الموضوع جنبًا إلى جنب مع التخصصات الأخرى، وظهر كذلك مصطلح البينية Interdisciplinarity  وهو لا يقتصر على جمع آراء التخصصات المختلفة إزاء الظاهرة الواحدة ولكن يحاول أن يدمج التخصصات فيما بينها، فيستخدم باحثو العلوم السياسية منهجًا من مناهج علم الاقتصاد، والهدف هو محاول بناء تفسير أو الوصول إلى نتيجة لا يستطع التخصص المستقل الوصول إليها، وإنما يحتاج إلى تلاقح العلوم فيما بينها.

كذلك في مرحلة ربما تالية ظهر مفهوم الدراسات عابرة التخصصات Transdisciplinary، ولا يقتصر الأمر هنا عن توظيف المناهج في تخصصات أخرى، ولكن يرتبط بالتفاعل بين الباحثين والأكاديميين من تخصصات مختلفة مع صناع القرار وأصحاب النفوذ بغرض التعامل مع إشكاليات وقضايا واقعية تتجاوز البحوث الأكاديمي وقاعات الدرس.

وفيما يلي قائمة ببليوجرافية تضم مائة كتاب صدر في السنوات الأخيرة في الأكاديميا الغريبة يتعرض لتلك المفاهيم الثلاثة من الناحية النظرية وكذلك من الناحية الواقعية يعني السعي لتوظيف تعددية التخصصات والبينية والدراسات عابرة التخصصات بغرض الاستفادة منها في الواقع، ولذلك نجد أن الجوانب التطبيقية شملت قضايا التعليم والصحة والتنمية المستدامة والفنون وغير ذلك من التحديات، وجاءت غالب هذه الكتابات لتناقش قضايا الغرب باستثناء عدد يسير ركز على تجارب في آسيا أو أمريكا اللاتينية.
